Gail Bennett

President, ICP Associates

Gail Bennett has been involved in Infection Prevention for over 30 years. She has a Master's Degree in Adult Health Nursing with a sub-specialty in Adult Education. She is certified in Infection Control. She is President of ICP Associates and serves as a consultant to over 500 nursing homes throughout the U.S. Gail has served on the APIC National Board of Directors, the Board of Directors and Treasurer for the National Center for Clinical Epidemiology, and President of APIC Atlanta. She has authored multiple chapters, articles, and books. She started and has coordinated for 24 years the ICP Associates' three day basic training program for infection control which is held in Atlanta each year.

In addition, she started and presents a two day training program for IPs in Long Term Care in multiple states. For 9 years Gail taught five of CDC's infection control training programs. Gail worked for the Ministry of Health in Barbados and the Pan American Health Organization to develop and present a three day training program for four island countries in the West Indies. Gail was co-editor and author for the APIC/SHEA Guideline: Infection Prevention and Control in the Long Term Care Facility, 2008.
