Overview:
This will be "story-based" as opposed to charts and graphs as this is a human topic, loaded with feelings. Whether you’re learning to ask a suicidal person: "Are you thinking of killing yourself?" or comforting a grieving parent, I’ll bring practical, open-hearted tools to give you greater ease with a challenging topic.
Why should you Attend:
Most healthcare professionals are confronted repeatedly with patients dealing with the end of life crises. Being comfortable yourself, and having appropriate language and tools will ease the experience for all concerned. How to talk with them, and their families, to guide choices, to know when to be quiet and when to speak up.
Dealing with grief, pre-grief, and boundaries also count. This is often an awkward topic, with legal and moral ramifications. Taking this Webinar will support you in working through your own inner struggle with death and provide practical tools for easing the conversation with those you serve.
