Overview:
Electrical workers face many hazards on the job and according to the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics research, electric shocks causes only 20% of all injuries among electricians. Most of injuries electricians face is due to external burns and other effects of electrical arc flash explosions.
Why should you Attend:
The purpose of this course will be to educate workers about the hazards of arc flash and how to prevent them from occurring. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Arc Flash 70E Requirements will be discussed in detail including training requirements, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, Arc Flash signage, approach distance, etc. The class will also answer any site specific questions or concerns as it relates to the NFPA 70E Standards.
