Physician Compensation

Physician Hospital Integration

The integration of healthcare organizations into systems has been going on for decades especially among hospitals. It began principally with the religious orders organizing their freestanding hospitals into a single organization usually a holding company and has proceeded in the past 2 decades to integration between physician organizations and hospitals and hospital systems. Some of these integration efforts have been sponsored or led by physician organizations such as the Mayo Clinic and others have been organized principally by hospital systems like Ascension.
